help my baby hates the bath?

my daughter used to love bath time until one day she fell ( i was there and caught her right away) ever since she screams and cries when i try and give her a bath, she sits in a seat and tries to throw herself back- it is difficult to bathe her by myself, but my husband and my schedules and completely different, when we are home together, she is either napping or sleeping for the night ( i work days, he works nights), if i try the sink, she reaches for the faucet, (i dont want her to burn herself.) any ideas to make bathtime more bearable for her – she will be a year old next week. thanks.

How to unclog a toilet?

Last night my son flushed some baby wipes down the toilet, it totally overflowed all over the floor and then went down slowly. I thought that since it had gone down it may be alright, so a couple hours later I tried it again. All over the floor once again. So I’ve left it alone since last night and the water has not gone down, it’s sitting right at the top of the bowl. I tried bailing it out, but as fast as I bailed it out, it filled right back up, all the way to the top. Why is it filling back up? My boyfriend is buying a plunger on his way home from work, so we’ll try that, but I also heard about pouring dishsoap in it, allowing it to sit and pouring warm water in it, I was going to try this and see if it helped, which is why I was trying to bail it out. Anyone know why it is filling back up, and what I should do? Thanks in advance for the help!

Bathing an older baby?

My daughters 7.5 months old and has outgrown her baby bath tubs so at Christmas I went and bought her the munchkin inflatable duck tub

http://www.munchkin.com/products/detail.html?section=prodCategories&ID=10000&pID=168

It has been great, but now that she knows how to pull up she has taken to trying to use the inflatable sides to stand up which of course can’t support her weight and she ends up nearly hitting her head on the side of the bath tub

So I’ve herd great comments about the safety first Tubside bath seat

http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=2857180&cp=2582924.2582927.2582927&parentPage=family

So I bought it today and read the instructions and it said it wasn’t suitable for a baby who could pull up, I figured it wouldn’t be that big of a deal and came to use it……only to find out my stupid bathtub edge is too big and the retractable arm won’t sit on the edge of my bath tub (so back to walmart I go tommorrow to return it)

So now I hear about these bath tub rings I come to look them up at stores in my area and you can’t buy them anymore. I’m guessing to too many neglectful parents and too many deaths because of them

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VK4FG295L._SL500_AA280_.jpg

So anyways I have found some used ones in the area and just wondering if they have the same precaution of if a baby can pull itself up they can’t use it anymore

Also what have you done if you didn’t use the rings or baths? I tried to bath her with nothing and she was slipping and sliding everywhere and I even have slip grooves built into my bath tub…should I get the suction cup ones from the store to reduce the slippage?

Just wondering what other people have done, and it’s not an option to let my daughter stand to get bathed as I don’t want it to become a habit for when she is older and become a slip hazard! I’ve fallen backwards in the bathtub and hit the back of my head on the faucet when I was 3 and from what I’ve herd from my mother it wasn’t a fun experiance

I do have a detachable shower head which has been great and fun lol

For those adults that use baby wipes after using the restroom, do you also wipe with toilet paper afterwards?

Just wondering for those of you that choose to use baby wipes or those adult wipes to clean up after doing your business, do you follow that with regular toilet paper or do you use the wipe only? Just curious.
